Rokaia

Rokaia Jedir is an experimental artist and researcher based in County Clare, Ireland. Her music brings together electronic production, field recordings, vocal manipulation and modular synthesis, creating atmospheric and textural work that sits between experimental electronica, ambient music and soundscape composition. Her early releases include See | Dwell (2017) and Still (2019). Rokaia is currently developing new experimental compositions drawing on field recordings and the sonic environments of County Clare. Her current work expands her use of modular synthesis, voice and environmental sound, continuing an exploration of texture, atmosphere and the relationship between electronic and acoustic sound.
